Arctic Circle Ltd receives 4 nominations for prestigious refrigeration and air conditioning awards.

Innovative refrigeration manufacturer Arctic Circle Ltd have been nominated for 4 special awards at this years Cooling Industry Awards which are being held in London this October

The Cooling Industry Awards were established by Emap Maclaren’s RAC magazine, which were designed to provide a national focus - to recognise, reward and celebrate the achievements of those pushing forward the boundaries of environmentally focused refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC)

 

The RAC industry faces a major challenge while ozone depletion is being addressed, due to RAC equipments large use of power, which accounts for up to 20 per cent of the national grid. The cooling industry is therefore in the spotlight, in the drive to reduce carbon emissions and tackle climate change through energy saving designs and installations.

 

The awards are supported by an array of patrons including Asda, Marks and Spencer, The Co-operative Group, Morrisons, Sainsbury, Somerfield, Tesco and Waitrose.

 

Managing director Eddie Gittoes has been nominated as an individual ‘environmental pioneer’ for his leadership in environmental solutions within the refrigeration industry over the last 21 years ; whilst the company has also been selected as an ‘environmental pioneer’, against the likes of other finalists including Greenpeace International.

 

Furthermore, Arctic Circle are finalists alongside global player Mitsubushi for ‘Installation of the Year – Commercial and Industrial’ for a refrigeration installation at a local Morrisons supermarket in Leominster and for ‘Field Service Innovation of the Year’ alongside Mitsubushi and Honeywell for Arctic Circle’s ‘Commander™’ compressor mounted electronic controller.

 

These awards celebrate the company’s continual deliverance of innovative refrigeration solutions alongside its supermarket customer base, in the aid to sustain and support the environment.
